If I ever make a clan it would be based on evil, strict rules, death as punishment and the masacare of players.

Everyone that logs in at 10th level or less gets a welcome message every time that tells them to check out the forums & gives a description about the server. You can put as many messages as you want in front of someone's face, but if they don't want to check it out, they won't. Players don't read and most never check their journals for anything.

I had an idea to make Ares give random shouts that give information about the server.

Such as:
" Remember to not attack impossible or effortless players! "
" You can check out our forums for additional information or make suggestions! "

This sounds like a good idea. Only one or two extremely important lines. Like about the forums and the journal.

Of course, it shound't be spammed, but once each 5 minutes or something like that isn't annoying for anyone.

Of course, there will soon be player characters named Ares screaming about a hole lot of things..

I do have that stuff on screen loads when you download the dialog.tlk, but yes they would actually have to download that to get those. You don't think shouting would be annoying?

do it at the beginning of each round, then it wouldnt be too annoying.

If it's simple and not too freuquent it wont be annoying. My advice is try it out and see what happens, then you can decide what's best to do from that point.

I will have it shout between rounds. Then they can go visit while waiting.

its not annoting at all i actually like it maybe we will get some more new joiners..

Clan idea sounds awesome even if it was amongst players.....

i think rary should look into this to make the playing experience even more challenging and this would force clans to work as a team vs others and actually compliment other builds as oppose to always lonewolfing it.
