Server forum

In my opinion, there are too few visiting these forums. There are actually quite a bit of people playing on the server, but most people don't visit these forums.

Playing is of course more important and more fun than browsing a forum, but I think it would be good for this server if more people could read and participate in the discussions.

Therefore, I think it would be a good idea to give a little reminder to players where to go when they log on, and to make it more clear in the journal.

For example, when entering the first server area, every player could get a message saying something like:

"Remember, you can visit the server forum at http://eternalwar.us.to/forums/, also remember to check out your journal."

There is a welcome message on server entry.. I get it all the time.

yeah me too. and the only people who are on the forums are those who are active on the server, are veterans, or are actually on. ever. except torm who is never on but still visits the forums.

Dont worry I'll be on regualrly after tomorrow and have everyone bow before me again like the good old days.
And yea Lord Mephisto is right, I've been to other server's forums and many of them hit 500 members. A little advertising can be very helpful. Like it was mentioned before, a script can be made to inform players, lets say every 5 minutes, to come to the forum.
It can help sort out bugs, probs...in short, it would make the server a better place, not to mention that we would make new friends.

Meph, I'm a member of a forum with only three or four members still active (Trogworld). I haven't complained about that once.

Remember that we have competition: BoW and Antiworld. There are more servers than there are PvPers, so advertising wouldn't help much.

Throw as many welcome messages at players saying "READ UR JOURNAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111one!!!!!111111" as you want, but the vast vast majority of them (mostly noobs) still won't read it. Hence how we get a horde of people attacking imps.

Conclusion: Given how most of the vets are on BoW or Antiworld, advertising would likely bring in more noobs/dumb people than it would vets.

Yes but werent we all noobs/dumb people once before we became vets, they are future vets, and the more noobs the better.

And why don't we go raid BoW and Antiworld? We could make a filthy horde of half-orc barbarians all with the same names (not mentioning EW) or we could go in theur forums and post porno.

Yea it would be nice if EW actually was a clan, then we would challenge other clans and stuff. Become strong and sexier with Rary, Bigby and TRM leading us to battle. Uuuuu I like the idea.

It would be nice to see clans INSIDE of EW. This was an idea back when the RP thing was attempted with EW. Like.. make a few clans and try to recruit people in them. With me or some other PU's on, we could actually manage the teams so it could be a clan war even.

ive always wanted to start a NeverWinter Nights branch of Da Familia. it was a clan i was in on Phantasy Star Online...

i cant wait till i get Phantasy Star Universe on wednesday!

Da Familia is basically an online family, just close friends nothing to do with "offers you cant refuse"
