Pendant of Ares
I was wondering why the level 4 and 5 Pendant of Ares stopped working for monks. Monks AB isn't... too terribly high.
I still say pure monks should get +5 gloves.

Re: Pendant of Ares
Pendants has never changed. So if it isn't for monks, it never was. I think +4 and +5 were for Barb's and Fighters only.T3hRedMage wrote:I was wondering why the level 4 and 5 Pendant of Ares stopped working for monks. Monks AB isn't... too terribly high.

And yes Torm the amulet uses scripts for when you equip it because you can't add attack bonus to an amulet on the toolset which is dumb but is the only way to get attack bonuses from items.
Gloves +5 wouldn't be too bad except some things would need changed back. Monks got some good gears toward mages so those would get removed. Gloves were decided ages ago of their power to high.

Because they get like 41 AB with a 1d4 weapon. Less than atleast 2 classes that I know of and probably others. That amulet with its sacrifice of the amulet slot can now get 46 with that same crappy 1d4 weapon. With AC hovering over 50, that seems viable for a class that should be able to hit people.
The monk does have its lower ab, but they can still get near 40 which is good for a class not made to tank in front and hit. Monk is designed for quickness come in hit a few times, there SR and other bonuses help against mages and they don't need the AB against other non-AC classes. Barb's/fighters have their weakness against spells, which is a huge weakness, they need to have atleast the better chance than other classes to atleast do what they are suppose to do best and thats hit. Thats the main reason the +4/+5 are restricted to those 2 classes.

Ac Hovering over 50? Only few builds can reach over 50, Well now pure fighters can 46 ab and what exactly should they miss with that? That's hitting over 60 ac with rolls better then 14. And d4 waepons are only marginally worse then d8 waepons since d8 waepons can't go up too +5 enchant. And Pure Monks certanly don't reach 40ish ab, 15+13+4+1+1=34
That's the max ab without Ares amulets asuming you are halfling andhave 36 dex, in most cases pure monks have 30-32 ab.
Oh and btw. the Serwer is down >.<.
