Expertise
I want to remove expertise from all classes except the non-caster classes.
Would druids, clerics, and bards be considered in this? Or limit expertise to only those classes of the warrior type. (Fighter, Barb, Ranger, Paladin, Weaponmaster, Dwarven Defender, Torm Champ, etc...)
I can just make the feat illegal and jail those with it if not in those classes. For multiclassing, how should it be done?
I'm thinking anyone with more illegal class levels than all other levels will be illegal as well.

Bards have only buffs, a bunch of useless mind spells, and ice storm as a lvl 6 spell wchich can be casted only without armor + their conceal nerf, nah they can't be considered as casters, if you did it so you'd have consider Paladins casters as well. Druids do melee(Greensleaves or Giggles for example) and their ac isn't that much of a pain. I'd say only ban it for clerics and mages.

Suggestion:
Make the following requirement for the Expertice feat:
* A character must have a minimum of 5 levels of fighter, barbarian, ranger, etc. to select this feat.
* If a character chooses this feat without the correct prerequisites, take away enough xp to delevel him to the previous level.
Make the following requirement for the Improved Expertice feat:
* A character must have a minimum of 10 levels of fighter, barbarian, ranger, etc. to select this feat.
* If a character chooses this feat without the correct prerequisites, take away enough xp to delevel him to the previous level.

We all know Torm is a champ, that sexy bastard.

Proudly messing things up since 1991.

Improved expertise should never be allowed in a pre-epic PvP server. With our low population and XP ratio as it is, we don't need fights taking days.
I'm fully for removing expertise for Wizards/ Sorcerers/ Clerics/ Bards/ Paladins
I say Druids can keep it because they are.... so so at a disadvantage in many feilds.

Sigh the only reason a bard takes expertise is: He wants to survive long enough to actually lvl through the first lvls. For example I started taking expertise straight after the anti bard crusade for the simple reason of n ot willing to get spanked by every stupid great axe dude..(The most supported build on the serwer by the way -.-) Bards are d6, to have any powers they need to spot atribute points on charisma, strength intelligence, there isn't much left for constitution, and they don't poses a con buff like the d4 mages. So basicly they have really crappy hp until you have pretty much gold (actually if you aren't at least lvl 18 you have problems to crack the 200 hp.) Also If you ban expertise people will simply start making bards witch divine shields. Anyways i didn't see why the bard ac was a problem in the first place, almost anyone poses taunt, -6ac is a huge difference and it's easier to get taunt gear then concentration gear(Gnarr's words ftw ), barbs, paladins, rdd builds get 40 or better ab so I don't see the problem, and it's not like bards do much melee nowadays anyone just logs the mighty mages and clerics or takes a cser and they go down on a 1:3 ratio for the clerics or the cs.

Shouldn't they hit hard? They should if they don't. You're a bard, cast hold person on them, thats all I do. Then when they get more will, they don't hit so hard.Rafael wrote:stupid great axe dude..
The 40 AB (which not many 2 handers can even get) isn't much when you drop it 5 AB and increase your AC 5, plus your 25% conceal, plus your high AC to begin with. In fact the guy is going to struggle just to touch you. You also get +5 AB and drop there AC -5. So a nice 10 point switch in both areas. Top off your GMW and Keen. Its pretty hard to tell me that a bard is struggling right now. Especially since you can make a "stupid great axe dude" on your team with a another 5 AB and 5 damage as a bonus for your team.
Anyways this is about expertise. I could make anyone casting a spell in expertise mode fail the spell. I like that idea the best. Wouldn't solve the issue for paladins and melee clerics though, but definitely would for mages and casting clerics.

-5 ab? um no? bard curse is orginally -2 ab, and here it's power is increased to -4ab with 50 perform but that's hard to reach, so -3, Hold person witch a battle bard? oh please dc's of 14-18 fearsome.... 25% conceal is nothing for blind fight.
