Dispel

We're considering weapon buffs a separate entity. You dispel the caster, you dispel just that.. the caster. If you could dispel the weapon, you would have to target the weapon.

Well dispel by default in the game dispels the caster, weapon and armor buffs. EW changed it to dispel only the caster.

I like the dispel all personally.

I don't, it would just encourage every greataxe brainless dude to buy dispell or mord rods just to ge that waepon buff, mages would be 40 k ahead form the gmw classes as well.

It costs precious gold from that greataxe dude. Some people don't use the rods when they are fighting mages, I doubt they'll use them to debuff a weapon.

Did we ever figure out if it was good to change back to dispel check on weapons as well?

I don't think it is. Hurts multiclasses quite a bit. Removes holysword and mages will just morden pallies until doomsday to prevent that spell.

Ya, it would only be good in this case if holy sword was back to original and same with GMW.

A95 just gave a list of when he dispelled someone. Obviously a Bard. But in that list was keen edge and greater magic weapon. Does dispel actually remove those or does it just so say and really not?

PS: Dispel hasn't been changed ever.

Nope it doesn't remove the buffs it only says so.
