Vacation Experiences (Recent ones)
Where are you going to vacation this year? How was your past ones.
I'm heading to Myrtle Beach next month for a week. Then in August I'm heading to West Virginia for a week.
Next year I'm heading out west to Yellowstone.
Now last year I went to Tweed, Ontario for a week. Made stops in Ottawa and Toronto.
Ontario (or Canada) still needs to raise the speed limit there. 100 is way to damn slow for freeways out in the boonies. And 80 is too slow for the side roads in the country. I say raise it to 110 or 120 on freeways and 85 or 90 on country roads.
Also what is up with your "2 bag" milk? I thought that was weird.
Now I drove into french territory, (across the river from Ottawa) and I couldn't read anything, even McDonald's had no English. I was expecting the french/english type signs. Even Ottawa had no french, only english signs there.
In Tweed, I walked into the beer store at 9pm and they tell me, sorry we're closed. I asked if another store was open with some. So he told me, "Sir, here in Canada, we're the only one that can sell it and it closes at 9pm." I asked when do you open? 9am.
I dropped my jaw and said, "So you close at 9pm to help keep alcoholics at bay, but you open at 9am so they can get a fix for breakfast?" He laughed as well luckily. Didn't know if he would have a sense of humor.
Anyways I loved Canada.
Best Thing About Canada Visit: People were all nice & friendly. The places that we visit had good scenery without cranky people bothering you like in the states.
Worse Thing About Canada Visit: Expensive. 15% sales tax & gas is $1 per litre. Atleast I got some of the 7% sales tax back though. When I went it was 90 cents per Canadian dollar.

Chars: The Mad Axe King / The Dwarven Front Line (DFL) / The Dark King
*chuckles* Could you have gone to a place any more remote in Ontario then Tweed? My god man talk about the boonies.
But as far as my vacations go, this year was a big one for me.
In the summer I went to California for a wedding. It was a lot of fun. I learned to surf and hungout on the beaches a lot. Had to get used to not being legal age, weird I tell ya. But the wedding went well, I got loaded and if I had been single I would have slept with the maid of honor (the girl was grinding my leg hard on the dancefloor hehe fun times).
This Christmas I went on a cruise. We went to Jamica, Cayman Islands and 2 places in Mexico. This trip was -amazing-. We ate 5 star food on the ship (having Steak, lobster and chocolate cake in one meal was instense) and I got to go swimming in both Jamica and Mexico. In Jamica we met some hilarious people on a smaller boat and I picked up some 3/4 1/4 rhum and cokes at the margaritaville. Not to mention I picked up a wicked bong which I impress my friends with hehe.
The first place in Mexico I went to see the Mayan (sp?) ruins and we got climb up to the top of a few of them. Extremely cool, you got to see for -miles- over the jungle. In the second place I went snokelling. I got loaded off tequilla and got to touch a sea turtle our guide grabbed from the bottem. Also saw a barracuda (those things look like they'd be nasty buggers up close).
In the Cayman islands I ended up just staying on the boat and swimming in the pools and drinking at the bars. It was definately a blast.
