Reducing Mage Power
I apologize that you don't like it. However my statement on 37 ac and the one using mid to high 40's were to completely different things. My character didn't reach mid to high 40's it reached 39 without tumble or expertise. So add 2-4 and then 5. That's what mid to high 40's means.
Truth be told though Casas I don't see why I should go out of my way to do anything at this point. You've insulted the rest of the people who play this game, you've stated you don't care that you have and you continue to act as if you're entitled to act in such a way. I'll get back to this forum the next time I play EWA until then however you can simply wait patiently.

You guys are so lucky that I can not lock threads. Gnarr, can you? Why haven't you? This forum wasn't made for arguements and finger pointing and as contradictory as the opening post is, this thread ' is ' for debate, not argueing.
So let me try to summarize all that crap into something simple by using a few of my level 20 mages as examples. * Balance shouldn't just be soley based on level 20 opinions either. Most people spend their time leveling up, not at level 20. My opinion. *
I don't know how effective my examples are going to be, but let me map out a few things. Garden Gnome did not have expertise as a mage, 46 AC. Shauna, no expertise as a mage, 39 AC.
Ancient Rage had expertise, 69 AC. With that said and the post that mentions that mages should not wear anything but robes. Have you ever tried to make a still spell mage? Extremely difficult. It's mostly for fun, because they aren't -THAT- effective against any class besides pure melee. Even then, your spells are weak damaged and might have to rely on a... sword and flame weapon. DR stops that too.
But the overall topic at hand is that Mages just have too much AC and/or Detect availability. I somewhat agree. Banning expertise for a mage with over 15 or higher levels in wizard/ sorcerer is valid. That aspect alone will harm still spell mages ( or just mages who want to wear armor ) enough.
Mages can detect far too easily. I'm not sure about the new system, but as long as I played on EW-- Bards, Mages and Clerics have been anti-sneaks.
That crit ( or is it sneak? I may have this backwards. ) immunity amulet has to go . If a person has that with the artifact and... +1 regeneration. It will be ' impossible ' for a sneak to kill them AND get XP for it. It won't happen. What is worse is if a Mage/ or another spotting archer gets it and does that.
Sypnosis: Shut up. Don't pentalize still spell users, but taking away expertise is a good ( not great ) idea. I'm still not sure how the spot/listen system works now, but mages can get max in either way too easily.

Debate is a style of argument. Dictionary.com if you don't believe me..
The AC post has rage's build in it, as the highest AC attainable for the cheapest price.
Bards aren't that anti sneak (unless it's a ranged bard), they can hear the sneak.. but they will still get hit from it.. and d6 HP isn't going to tank it for more than a few hits, especially vs ranged. (Bards lost concealment, song was changed back to default [still has aura for some reason], and tower shields).
Gnome wasn't pure either, pure mages don't get 20 tumble, and sorcs definitely don't. Taking expertise away from all casters, would be great though, which I believe is the primary problem of all casters having too much AC.
Mages lost robe of true seeing, that's about it though, and hard boots.

For such a lonely soul, you're having such a nice time.

lol casas doesnt beleive that these sort of threads are for debating and he will just see it as you spamming lots and lots of crap.....and that you are a spam whore or but he wont put it like that he will put it in some fancy way that will make you have to use a dictionary to look up the meaning lol
and casas is right debating is a form of arguement but without all the swear words and ending up beating each other up afterwards
debate is where people come together and form their views on the subject which we are doing and the other people will try and make there views on the subject so that your views dont count and then visa versa
which we are doing here

In this context, debating should be rational and exclusively on a certain topic. What I typed was-- I know that Gnarr said this was a debate on the very first post and that is what it should be. However, you all are just arguing over ' OTHER ' things.T3hRedMage wrote: I'm clearly aware of the defintion of debate.
So this thread is for debate, not arguing.

Nag, nag, nag!
That was more than a week ago RedMage.
Anyways your back to moderator now.
Anyways mages already took a hit on the boots. I'm already thinking of taking expertise away from all but fighters, barb's, monks, dwarven defenders, and WM's. I hate expertise anyways. I'd like to get rid of it totally.
