Vorpaling NPC's

When you kill one of Rary's NPC's with vorpal on a WM wep id dosnt register that you killed the NPC.

No message saying you killed it and no xp/gp for the kill.

Yes, working on that. Problem is the NPC doesn't register his death script when vorpalized. I'm not sure how to fix it either yet.

anyway to make vorpal reduce them to 1 hpif they fail the save as opposed to insta killing them?? I know its a sucky wayto get around it but if it's possible it would work.


Not that much of a biggy really if u can land a crit u got enough AB to land another hit and therefore should be able to easily finish off that 1 hp..

Only problems i see is that it would most likely mean that it would reduce other players PC's to 1 hp also as opposed to killing them also if u didnt land a succesfull hit shortly after some classes could heal and therefore avoid the Vorpal effect....

Vorpal is in the game engine, not much I can do in regards of changing what it does.

Same problem has been going for me but sometimes it does register

Also there are a few death spells that need to have the affect where they do 1000 dmg to npcs. So far I caught slay living and destruction

FoD & Slay Living were added the "Special NPC" death code. Destruction already was in it, is destruction not working on theM?

I wish I could, but I can't. I can't modify what the vorpal does and I can't add a custom onhit property to a weapon without a hak-pak most likely.

Only way to fix this issue is by adding something else to their weapon.

Closest thing is like a massive criticals property. It kinda sucks that npcs don't register as dying when vorpal'ed or death spells.

maybe remove vorpal and give WM's massive criticals then? extra crit dmg is always nice and it would still play to the theme of a WM.
