Seriously guys. . seriously
I need you guys to calm down and be more humble to the newer players. The server had 12 people yesterday evening, and in one round, it went down to 1 person.
Why? Some person, who has about 10 level 10's came in gloating that he chased everyone out of the server and he's a God for it. He's got rid of all those pesky PK gnomes, and CSing rogues.
I asked him why he did this and why it was a good thing. He asked me if he would like me to fight all those things, and I said yes. . there is plenty of equipment and strategies to overcome all those elements he was QQ'ing about. Then he commenced to spamming me with whispers like ' stfu noob '. then I commenced to boot him out of the server.
At the risk of the ' health ' of the server, I much rather have 12 people in the server, than an empty server. Try using team work, and actually using the party chat option rather than logging out, logging on something to an unfair advantage and lop-siding the teams, only to log on another and do it again.
I'm not saying lose on purpose to new people, but dont completely annihilate them because you have an edge with knowing all the equipment and what build has an advantage at certain levels.
It should be a veterns responsibility to help newer players feel comfortable to so that they will want to stick around. You're actually a pretty crappy PvP'er if you're the only one in the server fighting dragons. Because that's not PvP at all.

Well I'd need to buy the cd's first because mine were broken by my silly little brother. Well I'm not that interested anymore I've played the game for so long fought in clan wars, tournaments, made almost every character possible on quite a bunch of serwers. I quit EWA since it became boring- and there were almost no players that actually were challenging to fight(TRM barely was on, same for Rary, Only Heavy and Muggy played wchich wasn't quite enough)I miss the times when Casas, Gnarr, apolyon, Proto,Barrey,Whispie and many others played regulary... I miss the times, when I was really forced to do my best all the time on the serwer because otherwise no matter what I did I'd simply die... Nowadays it's just not the same...When I quit it was because the serwer stopped to be fun it was more of a work- completeing builds and making chars just in case.. But there was no point in that- As soon as I made a ranger noone ever wanted to play against it sneakers were logging out as soon as I logged in, same goes for every melee or caster character- there is no fun if there is no challenge, I almost never felt challenged unless Muggy gave me some fun or Heavy was by chance on the opposite team or TRM made an apperance. That's not quite enough.

I left for the same reason as Sera, and I'm sure the other vets disappeared for similar reasons. It just stopped being fun. Just because Casas, Gnarr, Sera, and the others owned me continuously doesn't mean I didn't think it was fun. Granted I got annoyed after a while... a lot.
The Vets here are what fueled the server population. A few vets joined, a few newcomers popped in, then a few newbies and the server was brimming. You can't start a car without a sparkplug and our sparkplug went missing.
If we want to get EW up and running again, despite how boring it may be at first, a few vets need to show up, which I know is accomplishible, we just all need to take that first step. If we can contact Casas, Gnarr, and whomever else by any means that'd be great, we could have sort of a reunion to recruit new players.
The other thing we need is more communication, and sometimes a forum just isn't enough. Other, larger-scale, servers have multiple methods of communication for planning, etc. which provides easier means to get more players in one place at a time.
So are you guys with me here?

Yes but Muse has a good point, we are invisible, very few know about us. We need some advertising, I donno, youtube video or something (the GMs should do their jobs ). Oh and some bots.
Also, a couple of events wont hurt, anything new is a relief from the everyday good vs evil deathmatch.
PS: Hope I didn't go offtopic this time.
PSS: Offer Casas a GM spot and he'll come back .

Proudly messing things up since 1991.
