Bard Armor

It's me again. Has anyone looked at the bard armor lately? It's studded leather armor for around 35+K and all it gives is... +2 perform and some AC.

I don't have any suggestions other than making some bard clothes, padded armor, or maybe chainmail and not heavy armor, since they're not natural in it.
