Demonic or not negative is dumb, nobody uses negative energy spells and if they do it's massive damage which 5 DR doesn't make a difference over.

Besides they're not demonic, they're divine, just unholy rather the holy. Demonic means demons, blackguards worship gods just of evil nature.

Their summons are Summon Fiend, Summon Dark Lord.. etcetera. They are the anti paladin, paladins are righteous divine warriors. Blackguards are evil, demonic warriors. But nega isn't helpful.. but making them resilient against their opposite makes no sense either.

In a roleplaying sense, Blackgaurds have demonic tendencies, but they are by definition, not demonic. I have to agree with Gnarr. They might make a decision that's unholy or monsterous, but they are not monsters or demons, so giving them resistance to their own alignment/ features would be redundant.

Thank goodness EW isn't and RP server though and our goal for BG was to make them anti-paladin or in comparison, just as good. 5 divine DR would be nice I think. It wouldn't totally make divine might useless, but somewhat anti.

Demonic doesn't mean they are a demon, just carry the tendencies.
