Also, while waiting for approval for your character, I suggest making another and getting use to the server community and the way some things operate.

It could take anywhere from a few days to a month for approval/denial. Bump after a week of no comment.

Exotic Races include things such as Aasimir, Half-Orcs, Duegar, Tieflings or anything else that is abnormal or recieves special skin abilities. So, if you come from the lands of the desert, bronzed skin with a funky turban. . that's normal.

A good tip of learning Lore of dieties and the world itself, I use these two sites. I look at ones I like, then I wiki them to find out more information. I think I'm falling in love with Faerun.

Aasimar are ridiculously over powered. Don't they get +2 to cha and wisdom with no penalty?

Yes they do. They are very imbalanced paladins and charisma clerics, however they have to be RP'd strictly and have an ECL that's pretty high.

Faerun was poorly "built" IMHO, there is a way big % of land.
Oh and last question about Dalelands:

When it is approved....hopefully....do they make me the character or do I have to do it?

You'll still have to make it. They just. . allow it in the server. It won't be. . to disruptive. They'll help you with any skin adjustments though.

Wow all I ask is a little boy with perma blind how hard can THAT be? I've saw junk like feyblood and stuff and got approved. If mine isnt, I'll call Dalelands just another lazy server with bastard GMs.

Karl, the reason it can take so long for an exotic race to be approved is despite that the server has over 20 DMs, apprentice DMs, and admins, they are all very busy people. The admins also want to see your RP abilities in-game. So you really should just make a normal character before you start up anything special, and you'll get approved faster if you play and adventure with the DMs/admins so they can see your RP abilities.

It used to be that you had to make a character biography and have it approved by an admin, before you could make it. So its a lot less strict now. just make a normal character, maybe we can play sometime together.

My characters lead to some pretty interesting conversations. One time Felix and his fem-friend were sitting in the park late at night and she decided...to lay down, rest her head on my lap and fall asleep. Now Felix isn't a bad guy, so he didn't have a problem with it, and he just ended up falling asleep himself. They woke up in the morning to find a bunch of people making googly eyes and ooo-ing. But Felix is just a friend and his friends know that he made an oath to Sheela Peryoyrl (the halfling deity of the forest, agriculture, etc) at a young age. So he's not going to be involved with anyone romantically.

Just make your average, run-of-the-mill adventurer. Trust me, its fun either way, and no point in doing nothing waiting for your child to be approved.
