As I've seen on other servers there is DD full plate that has 3/day long range uses. Basically it teleports your DD (in stance or not) to the targeted enemy if they fail the DC. Also if they fail the DC the enemy gets knocked down.


I think make this for level 7+ DDs and have the DC of the long range be either a discipline check or an AC check. The knockdown on the enemy duration 2 rounds + 1/2 DD levels making it a maximum of 7 rounds the target is knocked down.

Good idea. It'd be kinda like the dragon's wing buffet....

Only issue I see right now is you teleporting to them and getting stuck. Similar to artifact getting stuck on walls and such.

Well, there is an unstucker? maybe make the DD plate also have a no timer 1 time unstucker and if you see people abusing it, or make it against the rules to abuse it with major penalty.

The DD unstucker also would have no timer.

Seems like a long time to be prone for the knockdown.

Also maybe give them a five second timer (not a lot) so that we can get screenshots of it being abused.

Well, isn't it a long time for you to be bigbied in its molesting grasp too? 7 Rounds is nothing compared to the 10 rounds bigby gets, and blindness, and all the other things that are basically a coup.

The difference with Bigbys is that a mage has to cast it on you. You become prone but then all they have are more spells that they have to use up (which are limited).

What you are proposing sounds like the best of both. So what you'd be doing would be giving someone with the melee power to kill things that are prone easily a Bigbys. I'm not saying let's not knock them down if they fail the save, I'm just saying that seven rounds of prone are a lot against a DD. What couldn't they kill that was prone in seven rounds?

Why not make it two or three rounds, period? I'd rather see more uses of this item and less knockdown time.

That sounds okay. More uses for less duration.

I say 3 uses, 2 round duration. That's 10 hits, easily 200 damage. Slightly better then a KD and allows you to chase someone while in stance. Anything more then that and you have an ability which truely is insane.
