Most mages use missile storm sparingly, but some seem to think it's the only spell you ever need, and there is no way to defend aside from keeping some level 7s near us to absorb missiles.
I think there should be an item of some sort that gives immunity to ILMS and/or IGMS. It could be fairly expensive, to keep it balanced, but there ought to be some way to defend against it. After all, there are ways to defend against all other spells (other no-defend spells like searing light were changed).

some of the mages spam magic missiles and missile storm like theres no tomorrow there have been some wizards that only use those sort of spells even at level 15 with ice storm and other non save spells aswell it is annoying because its not like meeles can get to pick when they can crit or hit the enemy

Don't need immunity. Just give an item which gives 5 dr against magical damage. Makes you practically immune but still allows for some damage on maximized and empowered storms. My preferance would be on armor that way the person fighting the mage would need to choose between improved evasion and magic damage reduction.

i think you underestimate the power of that spell if you can pack enough of that spell in the spell slots like they always do they can do more damage then you think
and the armor sounds good with -5 magical DR just dont let barbs or bards use them

Magic missiles already have enough immunity to it.
5 DR against magical is out of the question.
You can add 5 DR to magical damage but it really screws up the game because the server has to use magical damage sometimes not related to spell usage to keep players HP's normal. So adding DR to magical is a no. Changing the damge to fire or something of that nature is much better.
Also if 5 DR to magical existed, a mage could never kill a rich melee.
If IGMS or ILMS get an immunity then I think it should also get the normal damage for it as well.
Doesn't IMS's use reflex or evasion? If not that would be a better upgrade.

Uhmmm maximized IGMS is a bit too powerful. Even with evasion, since the classes it will be used against don't have it.. IE Rogues and monks will only save it evasion wise. Everyone else, will take it's full power (Or half on a save, which is more damage than it does now).
