The first would be better if they actually had to hold them to get the stuff. That way it would make there melee non-existant. Ones with spells, people will just hold, cast the spell, remove and hold better weapon.

@ anti the second one I forgot to put an enter line it says

Forgot the space there.

And mages can already do what you suggested with the neverhit staff of barkskin use. Maybe instead of making it uses of spells give it just resistance against spells. 5-10/- from some elements so you have to hold it to get the DR.

Ya, that is what I might be changing there.

Mages aren't as bad with as clerics could be though, so it wasn't a major issue before.

Also clerics can't access the staff store in the good base but they can in the evil base.

why dont you make some staff with like an element domain on them like a staff of fire a staff of water staff of acid that sounds fun

Adding cleric staves is harder than it seems, creating one is easy, but understanding the balance of the game if they are put in is the hard part.

I think all the staves need a twice over. Half are EW original and other half was put in when the +5 on all weapons was in to make mages alittle better, +5's went and staves never got touched.

Right now, DC's are too high for little effort, I'd like to lower them a tad. Not much of lowering but 45 DC's are insane.

No spell can reach 45 DC. Only traps or harper sleep could. Max DC is implode and wail at 36. Suppose you could push implode to 37, but you wouldn't be much of a problem to kill.

Harper sleep can't get to 45 DC.

I found the source of the offtopicness and it's CASAS FAULT.

Stop talking about other things. This is about staffs.

And harper might get ~40 with max CHA and persuade and all CHA gear.

So back on topic.

I hear pitch made staffs when might they be added in?

He said he couldn't tell me what were on them but I know they are for clerics/druids.

Well, I notice that guiding (17) and pine (17) have very different amount of spell uses.

Guiding has tons more uses of spells and can go maybe 3-4 kills before running out of spells.

Pine can go 1 maybe 2 kills before running out of spells.

What I'm getting at is staves with extra spell slots for druids.

BioWare default, clerics have +1 spells per spell level than druids.

That's also because druids do have some powerful spells.
