Program Trouble

Post by Terpeh »

Since this isnt related to the game or forum, I decided to post this here, a time ago I downloaded a program to play a very old game without a CD, so I downloaded a file called CRKPOP, my scans didn't show any virus but the program didn't work, so I uninstalled the game. When I came to delete the program it said like this:

I've tried day after day to delete it, I checked the Alt+Ctrl+Delete thingy and checked the porcess but nothing. Oh the program works with MSDOS and I downloaded from a safe site. Anyone know how I can get rid of it? Besides formating the computer.

As my dad would tell me, the first thing you want to do is reboot and see if you can't baleet it then.

...

Assuming you've tried that and don't leave you comp on for days like I do, go through settings/Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs. It should appear on the list so you can uninstall it.

I don't think a virus is a particular program type. The self-replication is in the coding.

Have you tryed to start XP in safe mode? (usually by pressing F12 or something like that during the booting) Maybe you will be able to get rid of the file if in safe mode.
