Nibiru (Planet X)
Some people think that this Planet X is coming in 2012 near Earth's orbit. The coming will invoke several earthquakes and a lot of natural disasters, eradicating 90% of Earth's population. Armageddon in Bibilic terms.
In short, or for those who don't know anything about it, watch this vid:

So what you guys think?

Proudly messing things up since 1991.

How do you know this is even going to happen, Torm? Just a bunch of unnatural/possibly natural occurances. I don't see the problem.
Plus, I think the Nephilim are from Wing Commander (but then of course, it could just be a disambiguation). I recognize their names from the ships they used which themselves were used in the Zeji Conversion for SC.
Meanwhile, angels, fallen or otherwise, exist only in a religious sense. The video is suggesting that we're going to die because giants were born from angels living on a planet that's coming toward us, which themselves I have only seen in religious texts. This would make our deaths of religious nature, but religion is...controversial, so to speak.
Have you ever seen an angel? Have scientists ever spoke of them, blamed them for a particular cause? I don't think they have; even though they might put their faith into a religion, they, for their part, won't let religion get in the way of logic. Fallen Angels are religious characters, so that means the Nephilim are of religious nature too. Since we have never seen them - or to be more exact, never been affected by them, likely the Nephilim don't exist either, and I'm willing to bet that Computer Graphics are to blame for what I just saw.
Put simply, religion and logic are two different worlds. The so-called end of the world exists only in a religious sense and not in a logical sense, so likely it won't happen.

That was Y2K. Millions of dollars were spent to update computer system. The threat was actually well founded based upon OLD systems still leaching off the national network. If anything Y2K was helpful in forcing us to throw out the old, in with the new.
Now if you think that an even numbered year is the end of the world, religious wise based - that's a bit misguided. Since time is quite relative and no one has a set year for the beginning of time. Year 2000 yes, but from when they started counting years?
Mayan prediction seems to hold the most water, and it's pretty sketchy.

For such a lonely soul, you're having such a nice time.

The mayan calender stops soon, but to say that they "predicted" that the world would end is completely false. I think what we're looking at here is they were showing their mastery of chronology and mapped their caldenders far into the future. After a point, they stopped, because it was a long way away and there was really no reason to do it. Then white people killed them all, so they never got the chance. Predicted the end? Nah.

well the mayan calendar predicts the apocalypse on December 23rd 2012 (or was it 2024?) well, whatever. its still pretty damn close.
and theres still a small number of mayans out there in numbers under the thousands. if they really wanted to they could just keep on making the calandar, but it would become pointless since they predicted it to "end" so their reason to continue it becomes useless. also all of their knowledge was lost when tech Spaniards burned all of their records and such, unless it was passed down verbally.
