Question for Americans

I was watching "Jerry Springer Show", God I love that show. For those who never heard about it, its an American show hosted by a smart guy called Jerry (Dammit I luv that guy!) who tries to solve love problems in relationships. The show is full of swears and fighting, and sometimes censored porn.

So the show today was about an uncle who doesn't want his niece to go out with a black person (sorry for the term black). The uncle was dying with cancer and couldnt go to the show, so they took a camera to his house near his death bed. His room was full of flags with KKKs on them, hooded white monks with guns, full of them. And I said "Wtf?" (In maltese of course). Despite being close to death, he offended his niece (neice?), called her a traitor to the family, etc...

Unfortunatly there was a thunder storm and a big lightning stuck cutting the electricity of my house....no TV! So I couldn't continue watching.

My question is, the hell is KKK?

ok KKK stands for Ku Klux Klan. it was a group of white people who hunted down blakc,s homosexuals, or anyone they though was inferior. they were like teh American Nazis (not to offend torm, im referring to only the bad ones)

within the last century the KKK has lsot power and become more of a secret orginization, but is still very much alive. the KKK did terrible things such as set a cross on fire in fornt of some ones house, arsen, murder, hangings, and may have been connected to the death of Martin Luther King Jr.

Dammit where's Casas!? Americans are good guys you say lol.

And they suck, why kill black people? They are cool and funny especially the British ones, and they are damn good cooks. (Not the gangsters they suck).

So thats my the uncle was mad, he hates coloured people. And why doesnt the government do anything about it then?

I only thought that these white robed men were myths.

The Ku Klux Klan in the south, like the one twenty minutes from my house, is centered more around homosexual annihilation nowadays.

yeah the government handled it atleast 30 or 40 years ago. thats why its more a 'secre't now even though everyone knows about it

Some Ku Klux Klan members are police officers. Also, it isn't right to say that it has been handled or doesn't exist anymore. I also live in Texas... and the wonderful place that it is, black people are killed sometimes for no other reason than being black. And you are right, most of them are caught and sent to jail, but the fact remains that they are still willing to risk their own lives (with the death penalty) to kill someone for being black. Most of these people are not very smart, and blame black people for any and every problem they have. I remember just a few years ago hearing about a black guy that was dragged to death behind a truck because he was... black. Also... nothing makes ignorant poor rednecks angrier than a black person who is more successful than they themselves are. So this guy in the KKK... to him, it was like his niece was marrying satan himself. Or whatever bad evil thing religious people control you with wherever you are.

The KKK are a white supremacist group. This basically means that they believe that the "white" race is the only race which should exist and they have a altered version of christianity in there as well. So if you're not a white christian then you're screwed.

You cannot simply call the police as not all white supremacists have done anything legally wrong yet. They may blindly hate people and conspire to do horrible evil things but police need to be able to prove these things first. It's also no easy task to go arrest KKK members. The most active members often live in large groups under a single roof. They are most often armed and not afraid to use there weapons. To raid a place like that is to go into a firefight. It's dangerous to say the least.

The KKK is much like the Neo-nazis movement of Europe. They both share mostly the same beliefs and both generally believe that Hitler was either an absolutely amazing man or sent by god. They're both white supremacists and both are very violent. It's unfortunate that such groups exist but as long as there are poor uneducated people looking for scapegoats in the world there will be these groups.

Still I dont see the point why they kill black people. And I donno why they call themselves Christians in the first place.

And who cares if they have done anything wrong, they should jail these scum for ever, or a new group rises against the KKK, its like letting terrorists run free lol.

The KKK just had a march in my town in the north side of the country.

Typically they preached anti-blacks or racism, anti-Catholicism, anti-homosexual, and anti-Communism. A few others but not sure what they are. Nothing google couldn't tell you.

Yes, my own father isn't a racist ( extremist ), but he has the early 1900 European ' perserve the Arayan ' race type thing going on. He doesn't believe in mixing races or homosexual love. From a quote from my father on the subject--

How can you even watch Jerry Springer? It's fake. He pays the people that come on there to do anything to spice up his ratings. He doesn't help anyone, he doesn't even know how to help people! He's no philanthropist. Ghengis Kahn would of made a better talk show host.. at least even the plebeians would know he's a poser.
