i can never build i good paladin. even with TRM's direct instructions, it sucked. had like 12 AB buffed and could only hit some lame low AC people. see i know its not the class, because people have made some kick donkey paladins. maybe they just hate me... or i got bad instructions.

A Paladin is hard too play at the begining if he gave you a charisma Paladin it's even harder.

I think your problem is that you wanted a strength halfling paladin. Overall, they won't be totally freakin whoaness.

I suggested halfling with a shortsword. GMW + Icy Shortsword with atleast 6 charsima mod is very powerful.

If you start off with 13 strength and 14 charisma, you should have... :

7 BAB
+1 Bless
+2 Divine Favor
+1 or 2 weapon
Boost your strength up to 16 with helmet and gloves +3
So.. atleast 17 AB on your level 7 halfling smites. Not too bad.

Well, it's actually pretty strong. Just never as strong as a human or orc paladin.

Yea my orc pally got some insane AB at 7 like 22.

Here's what I got for you Pande.

15 Pally/ 3 Rogue/ 2 CoT

13 STR ( 18 at level 20, maxes out at 30 with +10 mod )
12 DEX
12 CON
14 WIS
12 INT
14 CHA

Feats:

Level 1 Power Attack

Level 3 Weapon Focus Shortsword

Level 6 Blind Fight

Level 9 Knockdown

Level 12 Divine Shield

Level 15 Imp Crit Shortsword

Level 18x2 Imp Crit Dagger/ KD



AB Calculations ( max ) - 19+10+5+5+1+1 = 41 ( +4 charsima mod with just splendor ) so 45 AB smites.

AC Calculations ( max ) - 11+11+5 boots+5 cape+ 4 haste+ 5 shield+ 1 size+ +4 tumble+ 4 divine might with just eagles splendor = 50 AC


Max out Spot, discipline, taunt and concentration as well as you can after putting 20 tumble.

if i actually had the patience to level that up i would do it. but i just made a pure ranger bowman and im still working on leveling up shanks. hes gonna have some crazy AB with those +5 daggers XD

but thanks for the build. and i didnt necessarily ask for a str pally, but i REALLY want to know how hulk got that dex pally to work out...also i see that divine might is useless for this build so, throw that.

and just wondering, why take imp crit dagger and imp crit shortsword? am i gonna be dual wielding with no two wep fighting feats?

So you get a 12-20 crit range when fighting mages.

They don't do the job at all, they get detected and even if they don't a mage just gets enough piercing dr and regen.

No no no.. You wanted a halfling duel weilding paladin? You just said halfling paladin.

No divine might for that build because multiclassed paladins can not stack favor and might.

Improved critical in shortsword for fighting everyone and having high damage.

Improved critical dagger for using +5 dagger vs. mages to go through their defences.

i never said i wanted a dual wield pally :P i just thought it implied that i would be dual wielding a shortsword and dagger in some situations. for so far, despite the crappy AB, the build is working for me. thank much.

and yes, AAs can do the job against Mages. but maybe not here. On NWKnights my AA was eating through permo and greater stone skin with 15-20 dmg and 40 dmg crits. basically the same against anyone without buffs.
