Compiled Suggestions
Here's a current list of things people have suggested to draw in more players:
1. Boost experience (seems reasonable anyway)
2. Set up bots (complex)
3. Allow epic up to lv 24 (gods, please no)
4. Set up "monster spawners" that spawn 2-4 monsters of equal, lesser, or greater level based on player'/team's request in the arena when less than 8 players are on, grant XP/gold equal same level kill, without kill bonus (ex. 5 point gives 30+15=45, so only 30 would be granted) (dragons are insufficient replacement for actual PvP)
5. Bonus XP/Gold/Points(?) during last 5 minutes of a round

That sounds fun. Like a fun "additional" thing to do. Otherwise, it seems too random to be fair.
If person A is better than person B by a mile
Then person B will be in base more fixing items
Leaving person A more freedom to search the map
Not to mention snare/holding spells, monk speed, level 9 haste vs level 8 unhaste.
Perhaps the chest thing can be something that spawns with 4 players. I think it'll be more fun if somehow it could be like a "??" random buff/debuff. Could give them haste, flameweapon, bullstrength, stoneskin, or it could hold person them, dispel them, or use an unbuffed harm spell on them.

Ok, I started an NPC spawn to keep atleast 4 people on each side. It seems to work OK. Just needs finished and possible bug fixes.Musekaze wrote:Here's a current list of things people have suggested to draw in more players:

It's calculated as:
Good team has 1 real player at level 7
Evil team has 2 real players at lvl 7 and 9 respectively.
Good team will get 3 more NPC's of level 7, 8, and 9.
Evil team will get 2 more NPC's of level 7 for both.
Right now I have just 4 Barbarians of level 7. I plan on adding a whole variety. The barbarians I do have each uses a sharp, pierce, and blunt 2 hander. 1 is a war archer.
I used my level 12 against 4 7's and lost, so I think their good enough.

This is actually a good idea. I have the script to spawn chests, just need to tweak it for arena and how you mentioned it just now.
