IMP and EFFY issue

since practicaly no one reads what areas says why dont you just put 2 basic rules on the EW enterance or somthing

so billy bob joe would come into the EW server and the first thin he would see on his screen is somthing like

Welcome to the EW server please press J and read the rules before entering the arena and keep it there for like 15seconds or somthing

or put

Welcome to the EW server examine people before attacking them making sure they are not IMP or EFFY and no swearing

or somthing along the lines of that since then they wouldnt have an excuse unless they spoke a different language so when they run to areas get what you put in french german and spanish or somthing to pop up at certian times or somthing

Or just make Ares ask questions about the rules.
And if he gets an answer wrong, Ares starts the questions all over, so those bastards can understand the rules.

It's annoying for returning users. If you put a detection on them for total XP < 22k then go for it.

Although it does alienate our foreign friends.

Yes they will, I went to a server long ago and the same thing was there, the entrance NPC asked questioned and I still played after.

And they also need to know what AOE is, they throw AOE spells in clusters of allies.

I'm thinking on creating a script that forces you to atleast open the journals to proceed on. Atleast the server rules and game rules one. This would happen maybe the first 3 times then it won't be required.

I can't make people read them. I can only come close or atleast make Ares ask some questions that only someone that read the journal would know. If answered correctly, proceed on.

Correct which is why the journal just use that word.

Personally, I just punish them for breaking the rule. There isn't an excuse for I didn't know.
