Slight Armor's changes?

Well the reason is perhaps that there aren't good half plates to wear (Exept the 10 dr one but it's 100k...) I mean what would you rather wear, a FUll PLate with +2 str and +3 ac or a half Plate with 1 less ac and nothing else to offer?

But half-plate which is half a full plate by the name shouldn't be the same weight.

Well, D&D tried to make classes get CERTAIN specific armor proficiencies, and also they tried tweaking the DEX bonus and Armor bonus accordingly.

Weight should be based according one would think.
