+1 Hide/ 2 SD levels isn't enough. Harpers get a ' major ' bonus to spot/listen.
the shadow teleport is not unlimited uses so i felt it would give non sneak archers a few more arrows in the enemy befor they have to deal with a melee fighter. also it could help mages and any other class for that matter to get out of being ganged and let them regroup. would make SD apeal to more than just sneaks, and if it was a # of limited uses it wouldnt be as bad as the Perfect pin coushion. it would be the Perfect pin coushion for about a min. then is gone.
as for the hide i didnt want to give the a hole lot of hide because i didnt want to put them in the direction of being a sneak would get the best out of SD. for the skill i picked was bassed on what i see with rouge, assassin then SD. i figured rouge was the base and assassin heads twards more offense and the SD went twords more defense.( you can tell just by looking at what feats they get that they where ment for more on the def end of the stick)
Mm. . a minute is a lot of damage. Giving them that much sneak won't exactly make everyone want to make dexer-sneaks. A pure strength person with that ability and full SD levels could take advantage of that strength to quickly corner sneak in a tower shield and full plate.
Though cloaking themselves in shadows is their defense. Being undetectable to non true-seeing things. I don't think their exactly plane-walkers.
well it wouldnt be exactly a min. you would get a sertain # of times to use the teleport bases on SD level and it doesnt even have to be 1/1.
and why do you need true seeing to beat them? with the shadow daze as invis you would only need see invis to compleatly defeat that. and all thats left is the concealment. witch for right now is 25 ranged and 30 non ranged. blind fight would really help you overcome that. and if the need may be then reduce the concealment.
I was talking about the philosophical aspect of the class with true seeing. I also don't like the idea of giving them invisibility. I think with the damage, conceal and Hide/ MS bonuses, that's pretty much pampering the class enough.
with my idea they dont get the dmg. i still feal as they are the current changes... Reak... stink... are trash... not worth takeing the class... makes the class unworthy of being in nwn in general...
also, no other class needs this much custom favoring.
