What do you guys think about running some player/dm events? like, some rp storyline NPC enemies or team base sieges. It might be a good way to attract more players.

I try to do that a lot. . and everytime it has failed. Either no one tries to RP back. . or they just attack whoever I possess. or they just keep fighting, because OTHER people keep attacking them.

XP is so slow right now, I'm trying to bribe players 10 levels on any character they want by playing on Vipers Den. Get a level 40 on that server and get 10 free levels. That's the only event I got going on right now.

Trying to get other players addicted to other mods with the promise of 10 free levels on EWA (and I'm REALLY hoping it's impossible to get 40 on this other mod) doesn't seem like a great way to get players back.

It's not impossible at all. I'm hoping players will just ' use ' this mod as something to get advance on EW and get some older players interested in playing.

I think ' part ' of the reason is that no one wants to play on level 7's whn they have a vault full of 13+'s.

But, I know it seems shadey doing this, but I don't really care. I like Vipers Den.

Could temporarily have +50% XP on every kill (Like a month long happy hour)

Or have the choice to start at a level higher.

Usually when I've logged in to EWA in the past (when the server was full) I'd already have an idea of the exact character I was in the mood to play on, and try to stick with that one.

These days when I log on, I just try to match the level of the higher person on.

I got an idea.

How about a bridge/maze event?

Heres how it goes, a maze or bridge, preferably maze, is created on a new, very large map. A lot of hard obstacles are placed, like monsters, traps, etc... Those who are eliminated can be "teleported" to a spectator's area (Possibly on the perimeter of the maze, obviously it is higher than the maze itself so everything can be seen.) There is a time limit to reach the other side and win a price.

Honestly if this is done I'm gonna play NWN again ^^

Oh and don't forget the bot idea, I think its very important since it increases the player count.

and honestly if i had time for NWN i'd play Viper's den and get Saint to 20 with those free levels. (hoping he's not deleted, he's one of my only characters left and i don't feel like checking)

but right now i see 9 players on, which is an improvement and a reason for me to play EW. (9says COME PLAY! ARTIFACT OOOO!

(leave it to A95 to suggest XP month)

I need to think about something besides a total EW overhaul, but i can't even see that happening without Rary paying some attention to us. maybe i should email him?

Hey 6 players online, not bad.

I used to use some program I got from NWN Vault that creates the scripts for you, easy to use, but I forgot the name.

I could call Omen, our scripter form Barebones. (and i mean CALL like on a phone) but he's preoccupied wit ha Harry Potter server right now i think

I used to use some program I got from NWN Vault that creates the scripts for you, easy to use, but I forgot the name.

Lilac Soul's Script Generator. Good for simple 1-line scripts, but it can't handle the complicated stuff by itself, you have to know what you're doing.

Yes that is it I think.
Look back when I was working on a server, I would charmingly ask my friend to find scripts so he could put them in, he said he asked for the scripts on forums and people just made them for him.
