Permenant Haste

Post by Rary »

This should get a turnout I'm sure.

What about making it so everyone has haste in the arena?

Because of the extra AC though, if this would happen, I would either put a -4 AC on everyone or get rid of all +5 AC gears and make +3 as the max on them.

This will make killing much faster. This would make runners much faster. CS'ers much faster....you get the point.

My objective is I want more killing, because thats the fun in arena battles.

Are you sure haste modifies MS or saves?

If it does, it must be a Bioware engine code.

Ya, I'm not talking about those. I'm just saying to put the haste effect on you. Same one that goes on you when in the bases.

Well and I'm talking that I am aginst it because that would mean sneaks get uncursed haste that only hepls them if you do the permamen haste thing. Also wan't it be glitchy with slow? Normaly you reequip the haste item after gettin bugged but now?

no! haste is specific for lvl 9+ with money and proper classes. especially since there already is the haste restrictment on haivng atleast 8 monk. what are ya gonna do? give every1 except impure monks haste?

its a no-no. this should never happen and CSers with haste have an advantage on those without and if everyone is hasted they loose that advantage, and CSers will loose interest.

i made a suggestion to give haste blets with a lower MS penalty. like -5, -3 and then -0, but keeping the -saves. ofcourse they would become increasing in value, but you get my point. its already bad enoguh elves can spot anything but pure rouges, and we dont need to make anything any easier. thats why i suggested lower MS penalties on haste items, but for a higher price.

The no haste on impure monks exists because of items that grant haste. The bug doesn't work if there are no haste items that grant it.

Anyways if players don't need the haste ammy, then they can use other ones that will fix the CS'ing better.

Not sure about everyone else, but I never have much of a problem against cs'ers.

Most people hate csers because they don't know how to fight them. It's simple get dex belt or helm and some throwing weapons and they'll go down in a sinch with their d6 hp.

Multiclass monks were prevented from haste because of a bug that can't be fixed.

oh so it wasnt intentional, it was jsut to fix a bug. i see, so its not to prevent anything that would overpower the class.

true what rary said the arena is there for killing and thats what is fun and yes i will make killing much faster and it will bring alot of pionts and exp into it aswell

but isnt that the piont of the server to by items that make it easier to kill your victims not to provide them with all of that at lvl7?
