yeah seriously. permahaste would increase level up ratio and gold, but that would jsut overpower some characters. i mean if casas devotes himself, he can get form 1-20 in a week.
I don't have that kinda time. Oo I'm on less than most of you.. And when I had time for 6 or 8 hour EWA (that was two years ago people.. I just had work.. and EW) my best time is one week.

ok maybe two weeks. then again, it took Tup all of august to get to 20. just like death bringer, except he didnt hit 20 till about december. just got lazy and started focusing on crescent reaper.
haste wouldn't benefit any one class more than another i think. it would give everyone another amulet to use though. it definitely would speed up the game, hence faster kills, more xp.
It would give multiclass monks an advantage.. Every time I send in equip to you, Rare, I include haste in some other form of equipment.. be it boots, or armor.. some other gear, to try and free up amulet or belt slot from haste.

In a low level game ab = levels where ac = gear. If you give ac to people with low levels ab won't match up to ac. 2-handed weapon users would take a large hit as all ac types would gain +4 ac and an attack which means they have an even worse time hitting them.
It's generally just a bad idea...that and casas point about the multi-monks gaining huge. I mean one of the main reasons we don't see 1 monk 19 clerics is because they can't have haste.
just make haste cheaper. that's all i can think of. or jsut up the duration on haste rods, but keep the price. not sure if that can work though. lvl 20 haste for 6k.
If I made haste on other items, then everyone would have haste anyways, so making this perma haste more acceptable.
Old EW had haste on weapons, boots, ammy, and belt. Everyone had haste, thats why I suggested perma haste with no AC benefit, that way everyone is the same as far as speed. You'd have to take 3 lvls of monk to get the boost anyways when you multi.
Everyone pretty much has haste always anyway. And taking the 4 AC away, throws off quite a few classes in regards to their privilege of an AC that's 10% out of 37 AB (normal). Without +4 from AC that puts them at 30% in range, and most of those classes are low on HP.
